For the past eight years Dr. Mark has been providing his patients with the highest standard of care. He grew up in Taunton, Massachusetts, the eldest of three boys. Having graduated from Taunton High School, he enrolled at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Having attained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Art History, he was selected to matriculate to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Having graduated in 2003, he chose pediatric dentistry as a specialty and was selected to attend Lutheran Medical center's newest site in providence, Rhode Island. As one of the programs first two residents, he served as Chief Resident his second year and after completing the program was offered a teaching position at the Hospital. Here he remained for an additional two years while Children's Dentistry was starting to take shape. Children's Dentistry opened in March 2007 and he moved to Maine full time in May of that year.
A Board Qualified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Mark stays up to date with the latest advancements and newest theories and techniques through memberships in many organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and numerous local organizations. These memberships offer continuing education, reading and study clubs, and an opportunity to share materials and techniques with colleagues.
Dr. Mark is married to Megan and together they have two sons, Jackson and Cooper. In his spare time Dr. Mark is the Chairman of the Sanford School Committee, an avid football fan of the New England Patriots, and enjoys being outdoors snowboarding, camping, and hanging out with his boys.
Megan J. Lucier, D.M.D.
Dr. Megan earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has been in practice for the past five years.
Dr. Megan likes to stay in touch with her peers in the pediatric dentistry community.
Dr. Megan feels it is important to give back to her community, so she volunteers with Donated Dental Services and the Kiwanis.
Away from the office, Dr. Megan enjoys spending time snowboarding and camping with her family. She too is an avid New England Patriots fan!
Dr. Marina Stakes
Dr. Marina grew up in Winchester, MA. After attending high school in Winchester, Marina moved to Maine and spent four years in Waterville at Colby College. Marina was then accepted to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2012. After Tufts, Marina enrolled in her pediatric residency at Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
Marina is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
In her free time, Marina enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming and sailing. She also loves cooking, listening to music and is learning how to play the guitar. Marina is very excited to be back in Maine and joining Dr. Mark and Dr. Megan at Children’s Dentistry of Sanford.
